Most AI content programs don't fail because the tools are bad. They fail because nobody with real content strategy experience is running them. AI is fast. It's also confidently generic, strategically blind, and incapable of knowing when it's wrong. That's where I come in — to build the strategy, write the briefs, and make sure what goes live earns trust instead of wasting your content budget on publishable-looking slop.

I turn your AI output into content that ranks, converts, and doesn't embarrass you.

AI Content Strategy

You can't prompt your way to a content program. I build the keyword clusters, funnel mapping, and editorial direction your AI tools need to produce something worth publishing.

Brief Writing & Editorial Oversight

Garbage in, garbage out. Bad briefs produce bad AI content. I write the briefs, review the output, and edit the drafts that need a human hand.

Content Audit & Rescue

Already sitting on a library of AI-generated content that isn't performing? I'll tell you what to kill, fix, and keep — then help you polish the ones worth saving.

Don't just take my word for it. Here's what clients have to say about me...

Jesse is a godsend for Nomad. He helped us spin up valuable content production and social media management very quickly. He's a joy to work with -- always responsive, on time, and on point. Jesse acts like an owner as he's always suggesting new ideas and ways we can improve. I already knew this after working with him for 3 years at SendGrid & Twilio so he he was the first person I reached out to when we needed content and social media help! I highly recommend working with Jesse!
Matt Thelen

Founder,  Nomad

Since we started collaborating, we’ve seen real improvements in our organic traffic and keyword rankings. Jesse has an excellent eye for identifying ways to breathe new life into older blog posts, and his updates have led to noticeable gains in performance. He’s also jumped into new writing assignments with creativity, clarity, and a strong understanding of our audience.
Alyssa Harmon

Manager of Content Marketing, Valimail

Jesse is undoubtedly one of the most talented writers and content creators around. I've hired him time and time again for the past several years and he's still my first choice, regardless of the client or project. Jesse's work is damn near flawless: he manages to weave vivid, insightful storytelling throughout his content while steadfastly maintaining a staunch foundation of mechanics and SEO best practices. He also possesses a downright chameleon-like ability to adjust his tone to suit different verticals or audiences. And, yes, he's got the basics covered too: Meeting deadlines? Check. Quick addressing edits? Check. Easy to work with? Check. Look, I could keep singing Jesse's praises but let's wrap this up, shall we? Hire Jesse. Hire him now. You're welcome.

Founder & Fractional Head of Content,  Organic GTM

Jesse is so great to work with! He showed an exceptional ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, engaging articles that resonated with our target audience. Every piece he submits requires minimal revisions and is written with our target audiences in mind. Jesse is also incredibly easy to collaborate with--he communicates proactively, meets every deadline, and is always open to feedback.

A bit about me

I'm Jesse Sumrak. I've spent the last decade writing B2B SaaS content for companies like Twilio, DigitalOcean, LaunchDarkly, Valimail, and others. My niche is technical products with technical buyers where getting the details wrong isn't just embarrassing, it's expensive.

I started consulting on AI content programs because I kept seeing the same problem: smart marketing teams using capable AI tools and producing content that was grammatically fine, strategically incoherent, and completely invisible in search. Not because they were doing it wrong — because nobody had built the system for them to do it right.

That's the system I build. Keyword strategy, brief templates, editorial standards, and quality control checkpoints. It's the infrastructure that turns AI from a liability into a real content asset.

I'm not anti-AI. I use it. I also know exactly where it breaks down and what it costs you when nobody catches it before publish. If you want someone who can run the human side of your AI content program without pretending AI can do the whole job, holler at me and we'll figure out if it's a fit.
